The Ancient Mill is located in eastern Tuscany, in the High Casentino, surrounded by nature, in a charming and romantic place, between ancient churches and historic castles, near the famous monasteries of Camaldoli and La Verna. The Ancient water Mill dates back to the first 800 and was built using stone and chestnut wood; between 1997 and 1999 has been carefully and meticulously restored respecting the characteristics of this land rich of history, art and culture. 
The privacy is guaranteed by the nature that surrounds the Mill, with the exclusive use of the small park on the river and the chestnut forest surrounding the natural pool carved in the rock where it is inserted a round pool with a diameter of 5 meters with a relaxation area very private and hidden. The pool is equipped with chaise-longue inflatable. The herb garden, adjacent to the pool, is a place dedicated to reading a book or drink a glass of wine and in the meantime be gently enveloped by the aroma of mint, rosemary, fennel, sage and oregano. The Mill has a unique importance for the entire valley of Casentino and certainly unique for many other areas of Tuscany. The owners wanted to rebuild the roof just as old owners did over 100 years ago using stone slabs. This unique architecture of great taste and sensitivity is exclusive and very prestigious. For environmental characteristics, the mill is indicated especially for true connoisseurs and nature lovers in search of silence, peace and relaxation. It's a great place for couples looking for romance or for families with children (preferably ages 6 and up) who are well aware of the potential dangers that a small child may experience in a country property. There is not a better time to stay at the mill, any season has particularities so special that will make your holiday truly unique. The month of August is the only month that the few villagers go to cool off in the river in front of the mill. Raggiolo is a small pedestrian village, where there is only a shop food, a small café and a very special restaurant. You can arrange with restaurant to have both breakfast and lunch or dinner. At the village entrance there is a large free parking.
