Livadi has a particularly relaxed and easy-going atmosphere. You can have a quiet time, as well as entertainment, and if you are looking for some nightlife, you won't be disappointed either.
The island's capital, the Hora, spectacularly situated at the top of a mountain, is only 15-10 minutes' drive from Livadi. A stroll through the narrow streets of the Hora to the Church and the remains of a Middle Age Castle at the top is enough to make a visit to Serifos worthwhile.
Serifos Island offers you some the best beaches of the Aegean Archipelago, such as Psili Ammos (15' drive from the Houses), that was named by the Sunday Times, as the best beach of Europe for the year 2003, Kalo Ambeli, Ganema, Vagia and many more.
Its coastline gives you an excellent choice of sandy beaches. Most can be reached by car, some are at a short walk. There are two beaches only at a few minutes drive or 15-20 minutes walk. Serifos beaches are very well suited for swimming. The Southern part of Serifos Island is in itself an extended network of habitats for the flora and the rich fauna of the region, this being the result of the combination of geomorphologic and hydro-geological formations.
This very area of Serifos Island has been integrated in the Natura 2000 network of the European Union (code name GR(phone number hidden)). The mountainous landscape of Serifos offers endless possibilities for hiking. Taxi service available. Car and scooter rental is available, a number of providers.
