Chalet Monti della Luna is a high mountain residence surrounded by pine forests at an altitude of 2,000 metres above sea level, on the border with France. A special, romantic place for a truly peaceful stay with friends or family. The house offers an enchanting panorama and is the ideal place for those who love to lose themselves in nature; from spring to autumn you can follow the trails in the woods for excursions on foot or mountain bike, exploring lakes and mountain lodges, while in winter it is a paradise for those who love snow and skiing. Chalet Monti della Luna is located in the Via Lattea ski area and can be reached on skis. The 240 sq m chalet, built in the 1950s, has three floors and was renovated in 2018, creating also a Spa area. At Cesana Torinese, the Monti della Luna Ski School offers lessons and rents equipment for every need. Cesana Torinese is a renowned tourist resort in the Alta Val di Susa and is part of the Union of Olympic Municipalities of the Via Lattea, together with the neighbouring municipalities of Sestriere, Claviere, Sauze di Cesana, Sauze d'Oulx and Pragelato. Thanks to the A 32 motorway and the Moncenisio state road 24, it is very easy to get to Cesana Torinese. Immersed in peace and tranquillity, Chalet Monti della Luna is a paradise for those who ski and snowboard, thanks also to its proximity to Monginevro Superski and Sansicario. In summer, the property is reached along dirt roads so a 4x4 off-road vehicle is essential, while in winter it is reached from Cesana Torinese by chairlift and from Claviere by snowmobile taxi.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: in winter time check in is possible by 3 PM and check out by 9 AM. Chair Lift from Cesana Torinese: operation hours from 9 AM to 4.30 PM (return ticket € 12,00/person). Taxi snowmobile from Clavière: operation hours from ore 7 AM to 8:45 AM and from 5:30 PM to 11:00 PM (ticket € 40,00/one way for 4 people with small luggage or 3 people con luggage and groceries).
Three steps up from the garden you come to the main entrance which is composed of the small but well-equipped kitchen, the large living room with fireplace and the dining area with large windows with a 180-degree panoramic view and a French window opening onto the large south-facing terrace with external staircase. To the left of the entrance is the staircase down to the basement, a single bedroom (1,20 cm wide bed) and a guest bathroom. Upstairs, the hallway leads to three double bedrooms, one of which with slanting roof, and to the bathroom with shower. From the ground floor the internal staircase leads down to the basement, composed of a small room with 2 armchairs and an exercise bike, a built-in wardrobe with washing machine and the access to the SPA with a relaxation area furnished with armchairs and equipped with a majolica-tiled stove, TV and Hi-Fi system, Jacuzzi tub for 4 people, sauna, emotional shower, bathroom and outdoor area with a portico set up as a solarium. The Spa also has an external entrance which in winter is used as the main door.
An access driveway in common with another property, which is about 300 m away, leads to the chalet surrounded by a pinewood of larches and fir trees while all around the house is a green lawn area where you can park your car. The property is not fenced. The panoramic terrace is the ideal place to have breakfast on beautiful summer days and to relax in the evening, enjoying the sunset over the Alps.
