While of course you may wait, the car park attendants who manage the car park around the Beach Comber café are incredibly supportive. If you or one of your party walks down to speak to them and advise you're trying to get to the houses behind the car park, they will find an opportune time to hold the oncoming traffic to safely allow you to drive along the opposing lane.
