West Kellet is a detached property with three bedrooms in the village of Silecroft in the peaceful coastal area of south west Cumbria. The house has showcased its centuries old heritage with exposed beams and stonework to give a lovely homely feel. The house has all you will need for a short break or a longer stay. The ground floor is open plan with a comfortable lounge with three-seater sofa and two easy chairs, and a well laid-out kitchen /dining area. This layout is ideal for families (stairgate available upon request) to socialise together and prepare meals. All three bedrooms are upstairs, and a peaceful night's sleep is assured in this location with no road noise and sturdy, thick walls. The house bathroom is modern and has both a bath and a walk-in shower to give you a choice of a relaxing soak or a quick shower. There is also a handy extra WC upstairs. If you have a larger party, we also have Middle Kellet (sleeps 3) just across the courtyard.


There's plenty to do in this area - miles and miles of sandy beaches (with the striking new Silecroft Beach Cafe), climbing Black Combe (fabulous views over the Duddon Estuary) or further up the coast to Ravenglass, Muncaster Castle, Scafell Pike and Britain's best view at Wasdale. Coniston Water is only around 35 minutes away with no end of fabulous mountain walks, lake cruises and watersports. If you've only stayed in the middle of the Lakes before, you are missing a brilliant place for a holiday with the bonus of no crowds! You can reach Silecroft by train on the scenic coastal railway - the local station is 3 minutes walk away.
