Information about the host The Green Lodge is a holiday flat in a newly built house with balcony and lake view in Obertraun.
It is built entirely of wood through and through - but without the lederhosen look.
It also smells of it.
The house was built by an eco-architect and a building biologist, who also design the garden (meadow orchard) and are constantly developing it.
Art & Studio To round off our holiday offer, from May 2023 you will have the opportunity to book the newly built studio "Art & Studio".
Right next to our eco-house, in the adjoining organic garden, you have the opportunity to give free rein to your creativity.
With a beautiful view of the meadows, the lake, the magical Hallstatt and the mountains.
This is the "view composition" for our guests, which will stimulate the creative flow at the easel as well as at the workbench.
Water connection is accessible for you in the garden, painting utensils have to be brought by yourself.
For guests of THE GREEN LODGE bookable at a special rate of Euro 25.- per day.
Conditions/extras Arrival and departure - Arrival: 14:30 pm, afterwards possible at any time by individual access code - Departure: until 10:30 a.m. - If you arrive by train in an environmentally friendly way, we will pay the taxi costs to and from Obertraun train station Cancellation - In case of cancellation, the General Terms and Conditions for the hotel industry apply in the current version. - In case of no-show, a cancellation fee will be charged Payment - Advance payment of the total travel price upon booking - For fixed bookings 2 months before arrival 10% discount - For fixed bookings 4 months before arrival 15% discount Miscellaneous Pets are permitted on request - dogs (max. 2) are generally welcome.
There is also a dedicated dog bathing area in Obertraun am See, just a short distance away.
As the GREEN LODGE borders directly on a sheep pasture, a well-trained and disciplined dog is essential - in accordance with legal regulations and out of consideration for the neighbourhood.
Even particularly friendly dogs must be reliably controllable at all times.
The maximum shoulder height is 40-45 cm.
Before booking, it is therefore essential to consult with GREEN LODGE or Mr/Mrs Kammerhofer to clarify whether a stay is possible under the current circumstances (e.g. when sheep are being grazed).
You must bring your own sleeping or travel basket for your dog's stay.
The cost is EUR15 per night per dog and must be paid upon arrival at the latest.
Description of the accommodation Living room/kitchen, extra bedroom, bathroom, balcony with lake view and veranda, for 1-4 persons.
Minimum stay: 4 nights The approx. 30 m2 ecologically built holiday flat is located in a newly built wooden house (built in 2020).
It has a beautiful bedroom with natural sheep wool mattresses, a comfortable living room with fully equipped kitchen.
In the living room, two sofas can be converted into beds.
The balcony of the flat offers a very special view of Lake Hallstatt and Hallstatt.
A pretty blue metal table with four pretty blue metal chairs invite you to linger.
The entrance veranda with seating and space for luggage and sports equipment is also at your disposal.
Facilities: 30m2, towels and bed linen provided, coffee and tea making facilities, toaster, kitchenette, fridge, sofa bed: 2, wireless lan in room.
Special service: Every year, we set aside part of our organic garden for our guests.
Here, you can harvest fresh vegetables during the growing season for yourself and your loved ones during your stay.
There are also kitchen herbs on the guest balcony (during the warmer months).
A tip in advance: the tap water here from the mountain is delicious.
It is much better than store-bought "mineral water" in plastic bottles.
But the special service at the GREEN LODGE goes even further: upon arrival, you will not only find a refrigerator stocked with delicacies for your first breakfast, but also a basket of fresh fruit on the dining table.
So you can enjoy your vacation from the very first moment.
