Wake to the sound of the sea and spend your days exploring the stunning Pembrokeshire coastline from this charming seafront basement apartment.
Puffin Cottage Holidays is delighted to present Monkstone View in Saundersfoot, just steps from the beach, this welcoming two-bedroom retreat combines comfort, convenience and wonderful outdoor spaces, making it an ideal choice for couples, friends or families seeking a memorable coastal escape. As well as the detailed description below, you can also take a Puffin Cottage Holidays YouTube Walk around tour Perfectly positioned on the beautiful Pembrokeshire coastline, Saundersfoot is one of Wales' most loved seaside villages, combining a golden sandy beach with a picturesque working harbour, independent shops, welcoming cafés and excellent restaurants.
Whether you're looking for a relaxing beach holiday or an active coastal adventure, there's something for everyone. Spend your days exploring the expansive Blue Flag beach, enjoying water sports such as paddleboarding, kayaking or coasteering, or simply watching the fishing boats come and go from the harbour.
As the tide retreats, miles of sand are revealed, making it ideal for family beach days and leisurely strolls along the shoreline. Food lovers are equally well catered for, with everything from fresh seafood overlooking the harbour to cosy country pubs and award-winning restaurants nearby.
Be sure to sample locally caught seafood, artisan ice cream and Pembrokeshire produce during your stay. Walkers will be spoiled for choice with the spectacular Pembrokeshire Coast Path passing through the village.
Head south towards Wisemans Bridge and Amroth or venture north to Monkstone Point and Tenby, where breathtaking sea views await around every corner.
Just a short drive away, the historic walled town of Tenby offers colourful Georgian streets, boutique shopping, beautiful beaches and boat trips to the tranquil Caldey Island, home to a community of Cistercian monks and abundant wildlife.
Families are perfectly placed to enjoy some of Pembrokeshire's most popular family attractions, including Folly Farm Adventure Park & Zoo, Heatherton World of Activities, Manor Wildlife Park and The Dinosaur Park, all within easy reach. Whether you're seeking scenic coastal walks, sandy beach days, family adventures or simply somewhere to relax beside the sea, Saundersfoot provides the perfect base for an unforgettable holiday in West Wales. Enter the property down a short stairway to your private entrance.
Enter into the well-planned, modern kitchenette, fully equipped for self-catering, featuring a breakfast bar with seating for four creating a sociable space to enjoy leisurely breakfasts before heading out to explore.
The cosy living area provides a relaxing place to unwind after a day by the sea. Both beautifully presented bedrooms benefit from their own en-suite bathrooms, offering comfort and privacy throughout your stay.
The principal bedroom features a king-size bed, while the second bedroom is arranged as a twin, making the apartment equally suited to families or friends holidaying together. Outside, the apartment continues to impress.
A private seating area provides a peaceful spot to enjoy your morning coffee, while a couple of steps lead to your own al fresco dining terrace—perfect for long summer lunches or evening meals in the fresh sea air. Beyond, guests can enjoy the exclusive use of the garden complete with sun loungers, an outdoor shower for rinsing away sandy feet after the beach, and the added convenience of an external WC. The garden space is overlooked by the property above and the shower, WC and path to the beach are shared with its occupants; however, the upper apartment is only occasionally occupied, so guests will often find they have the area largely to themselves. TO CONFIRM: The basement apartment's private terrace is for the exclusive use of guests staying in the basement apartment.
The garden and sun loungers are also for the exclusive use of guests staying in this apartment.
The direct beach access, outdoor shower and external WC are shared facilities available for guests staying in the basement apartment and upstairs property. Kitchenette/Dining Area Featuring a mini hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, under-counter fridge, toaster and kettle with bar seating for up to 4 people, (please note there is no conventional oven or freezer).
